Rika Aviv won the scientific-art contest at the HBBH and IBBRC conference!
The Poster Depicted a Microscope Image of Dopaminergic Neurons from the VTA, Created Using an AAV Virus in the Klavir Lab.
The competition was judged by prof. Belu-Simion Fainaru, a winner of the Israel Prize in the field of interdisciplinary design and art.

We are proud to share that Rika recently visited the Wen Lab in Rikkyo University, Japan, where she gave an exciting talk about her research on control-modified behavior in mice.

An Important Publication: a clarification by Eitan Hemed et al. on their 2020 study, published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology: General. After identifying a confound in the original data analysis, the authors revised their results for Experiments 1 and 2, but the main theoretical claim remains unchanged.

These grants will support our ongoing research efforts and contribute to advancing knowledge in our field. Eitan Hemed received the Post-Doctoral fellowship from the Data Science Research Center at the University of Haifa. During the upcoming year he will work on analysis of infant movements via video, to characterize the development of directional reaching in ecological settings. Eitan will be mentored by Prof. Baruch Eitam, Dr. Sagi Jaffe-Dax (Department of Psychology, Tel-Aviv University) and Prof. Hagit Hel-Or (Department of Computer Science).

Eitan Hemed received an award from Yad-Hanadiv foundation, in recognition of academic excellence in his PhD research. The award was part of the symposium in honor of the 2022 Rothschild prize awardee - Prof. Nira Liberman.
