MICHAEL GROISMAN

Michael began working at MCL as a "guided research" student and continued as a Master's student (Psycho-biological track). In his Master's thesis he tested a theory of agency assessment inspired by Peter Redgrave's work and which 'own action effects' are detected by the mere co-occurrence of sensory and motor information in the basal ganglia. After finishing his Masters Michael began working on the assessment of agency in people suffering from Attention Deficit Disorder.

During the summer of 2018 Michael was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. He died on 20th of November 2019 after fighting the disease. He will be dearly missed by us all.

A quote from his last letter to the members of the lab exemplifies his lovely nature:

"Life is unpredictable - this old truth each learns on himself. Hoping it's unpredictable not only in bad things, but in good as well."
