Tal is a Ph.D. student in the direct Ph.D. track, supervised by Prof. Baruch Eitam and Dr. Sagi Jaffe-Dax from the Center for Cognitive Development at Tel-Aviv University. Tal specializes in developmental psychology with a focus on early infancy. Her research explores how sensorimotor predictability shapes early motor learning. By emphasizing reinforcement learning mechanisms, Tal’s work sheds light on foundational processes that drive infants’ transition from spontaneous movements to goal-directed actions. Her research employs cutting-edge methodologies, including eye-tracking, to investigate how predictable sensory feedback reinforces motor learning. Tal’s work aims to advance our understanding of early motor control and contribute to the development of interventions for infants with developmental delays.
Tal received her B.A. (Summa cum Laude) in psychology from The Open University.
Beyond academia, Tal is married to Alon and is a proud mother to Shay and Adi.
